Regardless is a Nelson Marek 40' with an illustrious racing history in Detroit and south
Florida before her purchase by the TEAM REGARDLESS Partners in 1999.
Regardless wins Section 5 in the 2007
Mackinac Race going away. She finished 2 hours ahead of her closest competitor with the third place boat finishing 10 HOURS
later. This great accomplishment comes after a 3rd in section in the 2007 Chicago Nood Regatta. In addition firsts in the
Waukegan to Chicago, Abe Jacobs, Hobleman , Mayor Daley, Fran Byrne, Angus Horton, and Michigan City to Chicago Regattas helped
Regardless win The Chicago Yatching Association Boat of the Year Trophies for both Port to Port and Buoy Sections. A great
year
In 2006 Regardless has some impressive results with Firsts in the Spring Opener, Olympic Cup, Michigan City -
Chicago, Chicago - Waukegan, Waukegan - Chicago, Lutz, and Fran Byrne Regattas. In the Mac Race we placed a respectable 6th
out of 21 in section and 24th in a fleet of 131. In addition a 2nd in the Verve Cup with a 1st on the Saturday long distance
race. We won Boat of the Year Honors for the Port to Port Races which was enought to put Regardless over the top to The Overall
Boat of the Year Winner in the Fleet.
Highlights for the 2005 Season were A 3RD IN SECTION AND A 5TH IN A FLEET OF
136 IN THE CHICAGO MAC RACE. 1st Overall in the Mayor Daley Regatta. In addition a 3rd in a very tough PHRF 3 section in the
Verve Cup.
In 2004 Regardless placed 1st in Port to Port in the Boat of the Year. In the Buoy Boat of the Year Section
we placed 3rd in Section.
The 2003 season was outstanding - in PHRF Buoy racing, we placed in all races but one.
In the Port Huron Mac, we placed third out of 25. In the Tri-state, we placed on all legs !
The 2002 season included
2nd Place overall in PHRF Section 2, placing in 13 of 14 Boat of Year races, 3rd overall Chicago NOODs (level 60), 1st in
section 1st in fleet for Chicago to Michigan City and 1st place in the Hobelman, Jacobs, Heyes and Waukegan to Chicago regattas.
Highlights
of the 2001 campaign were 1st overall at the Chicago NOODs (level 60), winner of Columbia Yacht Club's Centenial Cup, 5 1st
place finishes and 5 2nd place finishes including 1st place St Joe to Michigan City.
During her first full season
in 2000 on Lake Michigan, Regardless placed 3rd in PHRF Section 2 Boat of the Year competition and scored 2nd in the Chicago
NOODs.
